As some of you know, I entered my work [link] for the SCAD drawing contest in hopes of winning a scholarship. Well I didn't win and I understand why. Firstly, Out of the 50 who entered I had absolutely no experience with teachers, the proper tools, etc. I used a paper towel for most of my smudging. I had no knowledge of perspective, values, and the likes. Compared to others, I'm a rookie and was in a complete disadvantage. But I am honored. I made it into the 50 finalists with my first still life drawing. I am quite proud for that matter and hope that next year I will do better.

As for gallery and such, I've been very busy. I missed a lot of school this month and, surprisingly, fell behind in a lot of stuff. I'm trying to keep up while regaining much lost sleep from Tech Fair. Originally Tech Fair was meant to be two weeks ago but because of weather, it was extended to the weekend I would be in Savannah for the closing ceramony of the competition and touring SCAD (btw, Savannah is very beautiful, even when there's nothing but rain). So that was a lot of wasted effort. =.=

It will be a four day weekened so I'm pretty excited. I hope to sleep and learn a bit of a Russian dance that I plan to perform on International night at school. We're still installing programs onto my new computer (that's right, no more lines from an aging screen), so it may be a bit before I get Photoshop CS4 on here. Btw, I can finally play Sims 3 =o I've had the game for about a year but never had the opportunity to play since my laptop was too... behind on technology.
